ZimbaWomen is working to create opportunities for women to actively, safely and fairly participate in the economy by providing access to skills and training for women.We believe that a full and robust economy depends on equal participation of women. Through our programs, we increase the participation of women in the economy and help them gain skills needed to take on greater leadership roles in business and entrepreneurship.

ZimbaWomen has established a socio-economic conscious business environment that includes full support of women entrepreneurs that could potentially bring millions out of poverty and reduce an alarming gender income gap seen on the African continent. The offices of ZimbaWomen are situated in Kampala, Uganda.

OUR FOCUS AREAS
Zimba Women provides tools and technology platforms, business training, mentor-ship and networks to improve the livelihoods for women in sub-Saharan Africa.
Access to larger markets is a huge motivating factor for self employment and entrepreneurship for women in Africa. The Zimba Women technology platform improves market access by improving customer support, information acquisition, and sales pipelines.
Additionally, our business development training enables better production efficiency, wider networking opportunities and stronger business leadership and team development. Therefore Our work is structured around four areas;
ICTs in Business
Promoting adoption and use of Information and Communication Technology tools (ICTs) in business.
Economic Empowerment Support
Supporting economic empowerment for women owned and women-led enterprises through knowledge sharing.
OUR TEAM
Chief Hustler
Sherifah is the Founder of Zimba women.
She is a fiery entrepreneur and independent thinker. Sherifah is in charge of developing a business strategy for the company
She is a 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow and the regional winner(Africa and Europe) for the Commonwealth Youth Award 2018.
Chief Whip
Peace is the Founder of Zimba Women. She has worked on technical IT projects for international organizations like U.S Mission Uganda, World Bank and United Nations She is a member of the Africa List, International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals, 2019 Paris Global Women in Tech Awards winner,2018 Uganda Women4Women Awards.
Chief Fixer
Melisa is the Operations Manager at Zimba Women.
Her professional interests focus on education, technology, and socioeconomic empowerment.
She is passionate about using technology to empower women and youth. Her professional interests focus on education, technology, and socio-economic development
Chief Hacker
Joan is the Head of Technology at Zimba Women.
She is in charge of web and application development.
She provides leadership for continued development of innovative, robust and secure information technology environment for the organisation and its clients.
The Teacher
Stella is the Learning and Training Manager at Zimba Women.

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
Female-led SMEs contribute a large percentage to the Ugandan economy, but very few of them grow into larger businesses. These entrepreneurs are critical to Uganda's economic growth and we are here to support them.
